Finding the Real Leak
Water is sneaky. It can come in at a chimney, run down a rafter and show up on a ceiling several feet away. So before we fix anything, we trace the leak back to where it starts. The usual suspects:
- Flashing around a chimney, wall or skylight that has loosened or lost its seal
- Cracked rubber boots around plumbing vent pipes
- Valleys, where two slopes meet and water runs heaviest
- Shingles torn off or lifted by wind
- Ice dams in winter pushing water up under the shingles
- Overflowing gutters backing water behind the fascia
When a Storm Opens Up Your Roof
If a storm or a falling limb has left water coming into your home, call us at (614) 708-0889. We’ll cover the damage with a tarp to protect the inside of your house, take photos for your insurance company, and come back to make the permanent repair.
Skylights, Vents and Flashing
A lot of roof repair isn’t shingles at all. We re-flash chimneys, replace worn vent boots, fix attic ventilation that’s trapping moisture, and coordinate skylight replacement — including new flashing around the opening.
Repair Now, or Replace?
If the problem is in one spot and the roof is otherwise healthy, a repair is the smart move. If the roof is getting old, or you keep calling someone back for new leaks, a replacement can cost less in the long run. We’ll show you the photos and help you decide — it’s your call.
